Lyngsoe Systems has partnered with Micro Matic to make KEG handling more efficient and cost-cutting for the brewing industry. The asset management system developed by Lyngsoe Systems helps the brewery to save costs by keeping inventories as low as possible and to keep a closer eye on product quality. The system is based on the use of RFID tags placed on the KEGs. The tags are not as fragile as barcodes and can be read through grease, dirt, hot, cold and wet environments. The RIFD tags on the KEGs are red automatically at the registration points installed e.g. in the bottling and cleaning lines. The registration points are linked up to a central computer. The Lyngsoe Asset Management system provides the brewery with important information such as the location of KEGs, KEGs needed to be maintained or repaired, overview of KEGs shipped etc. Besides that, the system ensures the brewery a number of competitive advantages:
