Food Traceability
Concerns of consumers and requirements from authorities regarding food safety/quality of products are higher than ever and continue to grow. Their questions are not only concerning "Where does the product come from?", but also have to do with animal welfare, sustainability, traceability on ingredients and not least how the product was produced.
Lyngsoe Systems has since the late 1990s been at the forefront with solutions that can handle traceability throughout the supply chain. Our solutions can easily be integrated with all ERP systems and can handle both barcodes and RFID or a combination thereof. 
The major food safety requirements on salmonella in the chicken industry have resulted in a groundbreaking collaboration between Lyngsoe Systems and the entire Danish Poultry Industry - from hatchery to the supermarket. It is possible - via Lyngsoe Systems' Traceability System - to achieve full traceability of chicken products and document the quality. Besides the benefits relating to traceability and food safety, the system provides valuable production information, that can be used to improve productivity.
Lyngsoe Systems is working together with Nordjysk Food Network (NFN)– a league of 300 companies and organisations within the Danish food industry. NFN uses Lyngsoe Systems' Food Traceability System. The consumer has via via the system called Foodtag, Web-based access to traceability and storytelling on the products.
Foodtag is covering all types of food traceability and presents information from primary producer to retail. Foodtag traceability system documents quality, food safety, origin and ingredients of the products.This reinforces credibility and increases the value of brands and products. HAVI Logistics - “Global Logistics Provider” for the food service industry e.g McDonald’s, uses Lyngsoes' Traceability System to ensure full traceability of all products supplied to the restaurants. Lyngsoe Systems has implemented warehouse management and food traceability in more than 30 warehouses for HAVI Logistics.
