Foodtag is an independent traceability system which provides traceability information on all types of food products, right from the primary producer to the retailer.
Foodtag is covering all types of food traceability and presents information from primary producer to retail. Sauers Orchard in Aars has joined the Foodtag traceability system.
Sauer family has more than 60 years and 3 generations driven Sauers Orchard. Today the plantation is owned and operated by Monika and Martin Sauer, who is in all stages ranging from tree pruning, picking, sorting, packing and delivery. The orchard has 9 employees.

The orchard has 14 hectares, of which approximately 11.5 hectares are planted as orchard. There is 1hectares of plum, 9 hectares of apples, 1 hectares of pears and 0.5 with potatoes. There are about 15,000 trees total, and the harvest each year is around 200 tonnes of fruit.

About Aurion bakery
In 1974 Aurion was started by a group of consumers whose primary aim was to sell products of the highest possible quality. Since then, Aurion has gone from strength to strength - e.g. they have had their own mill since 1980 – and in 2006 the limited company ”Bageriet Aurion A/S” (Aurion Ltd.) was formed. The Aurion bakery is situated at Jørn and Inger Ussing Larsen’s premises in the town of Guldager, just outside Hjørring, North Jutland, Denmark.
