Collection and delivery are the most labour-intensive and hence most costly processes in postal logistics, as there can be many contractual obligations to be fulfilled and many services to be provided such as: Detailed proof of delivery (PoD) and proof of collection (PoC) documentation, frequently involving personnel replacement, use of external transport companies and universal service obligations. The fact that delivery and collection by their nature are conducted in many different locations by many different persons is a key factor that makes them difficult to manage and monitor in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Regardless of whether first mile collection is at the customers’ premises or a public mailbox, it is important for obtaining a high quality standard within the post to be able to document the exact time of collection, and to monitor and measure the general quality of mail box collection/emptying with a system that delivers indisputable documentation. The same is true when it comes to delivery and associated services. @track is an RFID-based system that enables 100% objective data capture without any manual handling. Registrations are made at any point of interest either at the customers’ collection or delivery site, or when a public mailbox is emptied. Truck Reader

The Lyngsoe Truck Reader is an RFID reader that can identify the location of where any RFID tagged load carrier was loaded or unloaded from a truck via GPS, to give you valuable data on the use and location of roll cages and other important load carriers. It also enables automatic stock control of load carriers loaded and unloaded at customer locations, automatically generating valuable PoC and PoD documentation.
