Check-In and Check-out station, LibraryMate® 5000
The LibraryMate® 5000 was designed to be a multipurpose station – it can be used as a self-service
station or as a return station connected to our
SortMate™ sorting system. Its fl exible design allows it to
be used as a floor model or to be mounted on the wall.
The LibraryMate® 5000 is equipped with an easy to-use graphical interface. It also has integrated RFID
equipment mounted in the table top, and a built-in
printer and card reader in the station. Items being lent
or returned are placed on the tabletop where they are
registered immediately. Multiple items can be lent or returned at the same time. The “status” function shows
which materials the patron is lent or has reserved and also indicates reserved items that are ready to be collected. The “renew” function makes it possible to renew selected items or all materials. It is, however, the library system that decides if an item can be renewed (i.e. if an item has already been reserved by someone else, it cannot be renewed). The patron will be informed if an item cannot be renewed. When the selected function, e.g. “status”, is concluded a receipt can be printed.
