Combined Checkout and Checkin Station, LibraryMate® 3100 Series

The LibraryMate® 3100 is designed for self-service of lending and returning library materials. The Library Mate® 3100 is connected to the library system which allows check-out or check-in activities to be registered in the library system automatically. The system has built-in security, meaning that the patron and the lending transaction will be approved by the library system before the check-out can be processed.

The LibraryMate® 3100 is equipped to handle RFID-tagged library items. The RFID equipment can handle several items at the same time in both check-out and check-in processes and can also identify a missing item, e.g. a missing CD in a 6-pack. When returning library materials, the patron will be guided through the check-in process and instructed where to place the materials. In this way the patrons can sort their materials to the book carts or shelves indicated.
