Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ supporting implementation of IATA Resolution 753
IATA (International Air Transport Association) has announced a new resolution for all members to be implemented by June 2018. Resolution 753 requires all members to maintain an accurate inventory of baggage by monitoring the acquisition and delivery of baggage. The main goals are reducing the amount of mishandled baggage, measuring service level agreements (SLA) and increasing passenger satisfaction.
Compliance delivered on existing platforms before 2018
Lyngsoe Systems supports IATA members in meeting the new requirements from IATA before 2018. Starting the process by identifying specific needs to ensure compliance, we are able to tailor a solution based on existing platforms for baggage reconciliation, baggage tracking and baggage quality analysis.
Improve quality and reduce costs
The Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ platform will enable IATA members to be compliant to the new resolution by helping them to improve the quality of their baggage handling and reducing cost associated with mishandled baggage and poor processes. The Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ platform enables identification of baggage location at all times throughout its journey.
Baggage tracking end-to-end
At Lyngsoe Systems we believe IATA Resolution 753 will have a great impact within the industry-wide adaption of RFID on baggage. It will become a necessity for many airlines for closing the increasing gap in baggage performance and the compliance demands. By utilizing the Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ platform baggage is automatically registered at all points, where custody changes.
From passengers at the airport self-service bag drop, where the RFID based Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ Bag Drop Reader is inporporated.
Any transfers in the baggage handling system is registered by the Lyngsoe LIVE logistics™ Sortation Reader or the Lyngsoe LIVE logistics™ Pier and Claim Reader connected to the baggage handling system (BHS) and the baggage reconciliation system (BRS). Last registration and change of custody before take-off is done at the belt loader with the Lyngsoe LIVE logistics™ Belt Loader Reader completing the end-to-end baggage tracking.
Automatic demonstration of delivery and inventory of bags
Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ products will get you ready for the demands in IATA Resolution 753. One of our Resolution 753 enabling products is the Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ Belt Loader Reader, mounted on the belt loader, enabling intelligent loading and offloading of baggage.
The reader automatically registers the baggage as it enters and exits the airplane providing the data to demonstrate acquisition of baggage as custody changes. The data collected as the baggage is loaded on to the airplane will provide data for inventory of bags upon departure of the flight.
Automatic demonstration of acquisition and exchange of events
As the flight arrives at the next airport the Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ Belt Loader Reader will automatically register baggage being offloaded providing data to demonstrate baggage delivery at custody changes. All data is captured in a baggage reconciliation system and the events can be exchanged with other airlines.
Dedicated to reducing mishandling of bags
The Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ platform is dedicated to improving baggage operation, identifying bottlenecks, increasing flow transparency and baggage handling system capacity and to reducing the amount of mishandled bags.
Lyngsoe Systems have a long running experience within RFID and solutions within Airport and Airlines. Currently we have integrated our proven platform technology Lyngsoe LIVE logistics™ in 18 airports across the world.
