Keep your librarians healthy for a long time to come

Manual handling injuries are among the most common injuries in the workplace. Just recently, a 54-year old librarian from Wales helped move 80,000 books from one area of the library to another resulting in permanent back problems and destroying her career. Manual handling injuries like these are avoidable, and at Helsingør Library (@Kulturværftet), they took their precautions.

First and foremost we wanted to reduce the amount of heavy, repetitive manual work, while freeing staff resources in favor of the patrons.

By partnering with Helsingør Library, Lyngsoe Systems succeeded in delivering a sorting system, which helped adapting Helsingør Library into an ergonomic and healthy work environment, making the work of a librarian more comfortable and efficient
