Lyngsoe Systems is currently on a journey of growth and development and we are actively looking for an experienced, structured hardware developer for our products and projects within the logistics sector. 

You will be a key person for development and maintenance of our products for libraries supported by competent colleagues with technical and specialist knowledge. You will be developing customer specific solutions as add-ons to the current products or as new one-off solutions. Your focus will be to secure the hardware products with development, solution design and component selection over documentation and validation to training and support.

Your colleagues will primarily be software developers, mechanical developers, project managers and external consultants, all with high professional expertise in their fields. You will be based at Lyngsoe Systems’ headquarters in Aars, and you will be part of our development team handling product and customer projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • General focus on development of future products – including hardware solution for libraries worldwide
  • Ensure high quality of all electrical solutions in library systems
  • Guidance and professional discussion in the process around development and production of new products
  • Secure current and future components portfolio, where you as participant in development projects select and developed electrical and electromechanical designs and components for library products. The tasks are coordinated with software developers and mechanical developers. The solutions are tested in joint cooperation and introduced into production
  • Handle cost optimization, quality improvements and component obsolescence within your field during product life time
  • Keep close contact to present and possible future suppliers, to handle changes in front, and so agreement with suppliers are easily entered and maintained
  • Secure systematically handling and upgrade of various product documents
  • Based on your expert knowledge act as sparring for sales and project

You may expect to travel in connection with the clarification and commissioning of projects.

Desired skills and experience

  • You are educated as technician, engineer, marine engineer or similar within machine or production industry
  • You have substantial experience (5+ years) from a similar job and prosper in a development role with a commercial angle
  • You have an understanding of product life cycles from idea creation to end-of-life handling
  • You are experience in integrated product development and apparatus development, where you operate in the field between product requirements, regulatory requirements, component possibilities and other professions
  • You have a wide expertise with electron mechanical components and a good understanding f mechanics and software
  • You have knowledge on regulatory requirement e.g. the heavy current directive, and UL
  • You know EPLAN or similar schematic programs for automation
  • You have a good insight in the technical negotiator role
  • You are able to maintain focus to meet milestones and deadlines
  • You function and perform both independent and in teams
  • You are proactive and well organized with a good sense of detail, and you have good analytical skills
  • You are systematic and able to communicate abstract chaos in a structured and easy way
  • You master English at business level or better.
