A battery powered, active RFID reader and exciter capable of exciting LS tags and capturing the tag ID. It stores the captured data and transmits them to a local server though a wireless RF modem built in the cradle when in range for connection. Data integrity is retained as the data capture goes unnoticed by the user.

A portable RFID reader designed to read LS1400 series tags. As it is the size of a cigarette box, it can be carried in a postman’s pocket. It is powered by two standard AA batteries and, to save battery consumption, it has a built-in motion sensor that automatically switches the unit on and off. It transmits data to PC/PDA through IR communication.
