RFID is a key offering in Lyngsoe Systems’ solutions
RFID (radio frequency identification) products and their associated services are a key offering in Lyngsoe Systems’ product and solutions portfolio. Since the early 1990s, we have developed RFID solutions for deployment in the postal sector, airports and supply chains. In 2009, we extended our portfolio into the library systems business. We have installed many complex RFID hardware set-ups along with providing customized software solutions and ongoing service in more than 60 countries.
RFID opportunities
RFID is evolving as a major technology enabler for tracking goods and assets around the world. RFID technology has offered unrivalled opportunities for the automated identification of fast-moving objects during the last 15 years and continues to do so. The technology has contributed significantly to applications that improve quality of service, asset management, transport management, and track-and-trace capabilities. RFID can help logistics providers to improve the management of moveable assets and to enable new efficiencies in the supply chain by tracking goods right through from the point of manufacture to the retail point of sale. There are many RFID products on the market today, but few have been as thoroughly tested over an extended period as our AMQM system, which has been in use by the postal industry since 1994.
Lyngsoe Systems’ RFID development
Our RFID intelligence combines up-to-date market knowledge with the results of our own research and development. The resultant systems incorporate both passive RFID and active RFID solutions and we can furthermore deliver hardware with both RFID technologies in a single product. In a process of continous improvement, we harness the opportunities offered by RFID technology and combine it with barcodes or other data capture, where feasible, to engineer unique tailor-made solutions. Since 2001, we have developed and built bespoke RFID hardware at our facility in Canada.
